jAVERDE Coffee Company is made up of regular people with an exceptional passion. From our Master Roaster to “the bean counters” (pun intended), we all share an uncommon ardor for coffee and conservation.

We come from many backgrounds, but we have come to believe strongly in a singular concept. Commerce (coffee consumption more specifically) can actually become a catalyst for positive environmental change. 

It is our belief in this principle that has led us  to partner with The Arbor Day Foundation and pledge 5% of all jAVERDE sales revenue (retail & direct) to the reforestation of our nation's forests. For every dollar we can raise, one tree will be planted in a forest across our national landscape.

Record wildfires have incinerated millions of trees across the country in recent years. Disease and insect infestation have reached epidemic proportions in certain forests across the US. Many of these areas have to be replanted.

The US Forest Service has a backlog of more than one million acres of national forests needing to be replanted. And every year, after wildfires, weather and insect damage, the backlog keeps growing….

It is our goal to use coffee, one of the most traded commodities in the world, to help to positively impact the environment.

Ambitious, isn't it?

“Green” is a very popular concept these days and that’s a good thing. But we have decided to push the envelope a little further than some might and “put our money where your mouth is” so to speak.

We have deliberately and carefully considered the cost and we understand the weight of this commitment, but we also know that it is the right thing to do.

To put the power in the hands of our customers to decide how much is given to conservation efforts is (we believe) a revolutionary notion, but one that can work and have a tremendous impact on conservation efforts around the world.
